The Titanium liner provides a clean air path and increased strength for the wood. A recess on the bottom accepts an included 1\/4\" pipe screen. When installed on the Toad\/Nomad II glass Z-core, the mouthpiece keeps the balls secure. This screen does add a small amount of draw resistance - which I believe improves performance.
